Biography
I have been a consultant gastroenterologist / hepatologist since 2000 and am based at University College Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, as well as holding an academic position as Reader in Hepatology & Gastroenterology.
At UCL I undertook undergraduate studies in science and medicine at University of NSW, Sydney, with postgraduate training mainly at Guy’s and King’s College Hospitals, London and advanced endoscopy training in Paris, Amsterdam and Indianapolis.
The research interests of my Liver and Pancreatic Cancer Research Group at UCL, centre on the causes, diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer, biliary tract (gallbladder and bile duct) and pancreatic cancer, as well as a number of benign conditions including primary sclerosing cholangitis, sphincter of Oddi dysfunction, pancreatic cysts and acute and chronic pancreatitis.
